For residents, such transfers are often associated with stress, functional decline, and disorientation. For facilities, they create additional coordination efforts and financial losses due to vacant beds.<\/p>\n<p>Research suggests that many of these hospital admissions could be avoided \u2014 particularly through strengthening geriatric expertise within care teams. Nursing professionals with advanced geriatric knowledge and competencies can detect health changes earlier, support clinical decision-making, strengthen interprofessional collaboration, and enable acute situations to be managed more frequently within the facility itself.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, we are conducting a national survey.<\/p>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; pb_border_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;]\n<h3><strong>Purpose of the Survey<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This study aims to understand how leaders in long-term care facilities assess the added value of enhanced geriatric nursing expertise and how willing they are to invest in personnel resources that contribute to reducing unplanned hospital admissions.<\/p>\n<p>The survey is aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Executive management<\/li>\n<li>Directors of nursing<\/li>\n<li>Other decision-makers responsible for staffing or budgeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; pb_border_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;]\n<h3><strong>Survey Content<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The survey covers five areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Facility characteristics<\/strong> \u2013 background information comparable to SOMED statistics<\/li>\n<li><strong>The issue and a potential solution<\/strong> \u2013 presentation of an illustrative case example<\/li>\n<li><strong>Willingness to pay<\/strong> \u2013 assessment of potential investment in advanced geriatric expertise<\/li>\n<li><strong>Attitudes and opinions<\/strong> \u2013 perspectives on reducing unplanned hospital admissions and geriatric expertise<\/li>\n<li><strong>Demographic information<\/strong> \u2013 general background information about you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; pb_border_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;]\n<h3><strong>Participation and Data Protection<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Participation is voluntary and anonymous.
